Absolutely amazing museum. Truly the closest thing I have had to a spiritual experience. Highlights had to be the Vulcan, Lancaster, B52 and the Blackbird. Truly amazing.

Absolute fantastic day, brilliant museum. My daughter bought me a tour of the Lancaster bomber for Christmas. What an experience. We were shown around the bomber by two gentlemen named Ken and Frank, who really knew their history and gave an excellent presentation. The museum is exceptionally great value for all ages whether you're a plane enthusiast or not. It is also a very poignant and humbling experience when you realise what our great forces did in both World Wars for our freedom and democracy and to give us our life styles what we enjoy today. Thank you to you all, and I will definitely visit again.

If you're looking for an aviation museum look no further. There' s the IWM collection, focusing on showing the development of military aviation. Various Warbirds from private collectors ( many airworthiness and if you're lucky some may fly) plus the Duxford Aviation Society airliner collection. Lancaster, Spitfire, Concorde, Vulcan ,SR71, U2, B17, Dakota & Mustang. All here.

Great, we really enjoyed it. The volunteers were great and there are some incredible items on display here.
My only one gripe is the ridiculous price. The entry price is the same for Bletchley but there that gives you access all year round but IWM was over fifty pounds for two adults for just one visit & the two coffee and cake was over twenty pounds.
Great museum, great visit, just too pricey to ever go back.

An amazing collection of planes - worth spending an entire day here since there is so much to see! The airshows are great too and amazing to see the history being kept alive and appreciated by so many people, as well as to see some rare sights.
On my most recent visit, I booked the Avro tour which was really interesting and informative, our guide was very helpful and went over our allocated time so that we could spend more time in the planes which was really appreciated. Highly recommend!

OK place but seems to be full of aircraft, I guess it's nice if you like them.
No cars, musical instruments or sewing section.
Cafe prices are as high as the Concorde flew

The best UK aviation museum and one off the best in the world. Located on the historic airfield it's huge with transport for people who may struggle with getting around. The US museum is incredible and had the only SR-71 BLACKBIRD on display outside the United States. The restoration Hanger is awesome as well. Love this place an amazing day out

What a fantastic place! The exhibits are fantastic and the place is huge; I’d recommend getting there early as a there’s a lot of walking and a whole lot to see (there’s a free minibus if you can’t manage the longer walks). I arrived mid afternoon and whilst I managed to see everything I wanted to, it was a bit of a rushed visit but that’s down to my own poor planning!

One day is not enough to see everything. Even in winter it is worth a visit. Very interesting talks with the volunteers.

IWM Duxford is rather unique amongst the selection of museums as not only does it have an amazing selection of planes, tanks, helicopters and numerous other military vehicles, but it's actually a working airport.
During the flying season you'll no doubt see a Spitfire or two take to the sky along with the odd Hurricane as visitors have that once in a lifetime experience of flying in one of the two seaters based here, those are seperate experiences that are run by other companies based at Duxford.
There's so much to see and do, from a walk through the prototype Concorde or reflect on a piece of the Berlin Wall.....
This is a family oriented venue, and that's reflected by the numerous activities they have going on during the year. Check out their website.

This empirical war Museum boasts the planes that brought an end to the second world war. For ne the attraction was the Concorde, which was a plane from the future during its time. Thus is a must stop place if you are travelling to up north from London.

Duxford is one of my favourite places to visit and today was no exception. The new Scamble exhibition of the airworthy Battle of Britain aircraft is a brilliant addition to what is already great collection. There is so much to see, I always have an excuse to return.
